Halloween Party

Well, Halloween (a month ago)... was great. My business is being known around the area where I am located. The people is getting aware that I am here to stay, and I am trying to create the best impression ever. Now, everything I just said sounded like I am new around here... The truth is that I am not new here; I've been in business close to ten years now, and I know exactly what I'm doing, but to keep myself fresh every time, I need to try new things, I new to experiment a little bit with new aproaches. So I did that with this party; I set me studio in this awesome party (I was requested to do so), and started taking photographs with an immediate turn around of the photographs. At the end of the night I had everything done, and everybody happy (including myself).

I will put just 2 photos of that night. Enjoy!

Historical architectural

Here I am again, trying to catch up with my time...
Well... I've been pretty busy with this holidyas season (Thanksgiving and upcoming Christmas). The portraits in the studio (and outdoors) has been great this year. As a matter of fact I am going to post each individual photo shoot in different entries.

Here is a photo session of the Hotel where I have my studio in: The Historical Ben Lomond Hotel in Ogden, UT. It is magnificent; I love the building (as you can probably tell).

Taking architectural phtographs is a refresh to me, because I have to think differently. To do different stuff from time to time is great (another reason I love photography). Now, having a responsability to deliver great results in a time frame is not the best scenario, but gives me a different perspective to apply in my portraiture...

Any way, here they are.

I hope you tell me what you think. Thanks. Bye.

Has been a while

Well, has been a long time since I haven't add anything in my Blog ... Can you imagine why?, I've been really busy in my business and since my wife is almost ready to deliver our third girl, well, you can do the math and realize that my head has been in the clouds and beyond.

Lately, I've been taking tons of photographs in the studio, specially families, for Christmas cards, family reunions, updates for family portraits and even Christmas gifts. Beisde that I've been taking architectural photographs for the hotel where my studio is located in ... that is not new to me (Architectural Photography) but I haven't done that that much.

I feel really good doing something different once in a while, you know?, Is like changing the menu after eating the same food for a period of time; and now, I am refreshed and I have new ideas for my portraits and even my weding photography... and that gives me courage enough to keep doing what I love to do : Taking Photographs and managing my own business.

Even is hard sometimes to think "everything" in your business (because I am the orchestra-man in this, and I don't work with a partner yet, or secretary or receptionist, or assistants or anyone yet), but what keeps me up is my willingness to keep shooting for the fun of it; trying my best to do the best. Sometimes I can acomplish it and sometimes I struggle to reach my goals.

Well, was nice to share all this with you.

At this time I am not going to add any photographs... ironic, right?
Let me know if you have any coment at all.
Thanks.
Bye.
