The Best of the Ogden Fest 2010

OK, here they come the best photos you are going to see (that's what I think ... and I hope am right) of the Ogden, so anticipated "Snow" Winter Fest this last weekend, for this year 2010.

I hope you like them as much as I do... as a matter of fact, on the day of the event, I took hundreds of photos, most of which are GREAT images ... it's a sad thing I can't put them all here, right? I had a great time and met great people... check it out !!.

Let me know if you have any comment, so we can learn from each other.
Sincerely
AL.

Lots of Photographs...

Well, Hi to all. I want to start off by saying that I've been SUPER blessed from my Father in Heaven, since day one; I recognize that His hand had been with me through my entire career, not just IN the hard times but BECAUSE of those hard days.
My family is growing and I have the love of ALL of them. My live is good and I can't complaint at all, and my career is good (I won't complaint) : )

In these last months I've been taking lots of photographs and I wanted to share with you SOME of these images; I've prepared quite a bit to submit, but because they are 43 images (and I think they are way too many to post in my blog), I've prepared an album in my company's Facebook page, so you all can take a look to all of them; the address in facebook is as follows :

If you are not a FAN yet, become one, so you can keep looking at the new posts any time you want.

In any case, I am posting some of the photographs in here; so, enjoy them.

Historical trip to Saint George

This last weekend I went on a trip to southern Utah; I went with a really great friend of mine, Antonio Neyra, to get some photographs of the Saint George Temple, Visitor Center, Tabernacle, and other Church-historical areas around.

Well, let me tell you, this trip was sensational. We had a really good time and (I think) we got pretty good images after all.

My camera got damaged a bit, but I think that was part of the adventure (lucky me I didn't get damaged or hurt).

After the whole trip, we passed by Zion National Park (where we did a tiny but nice hike) and after that, we went to Bryce Canyon National Park as well (both in one day... from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm). We did those pretty fast, though, relaxed and having fun.

Here are 10 images I hope you enjoy.

This is the Visitor Center with the Temple in the background at night time...
Isn't it amazing?

Inside the Visitor Center, we've got permission to get some images around.

A detailed shot of an antique spectacles on an opened Bible...

The Temple of Saint George at dawn, right before the sun hits the ground.

From a far distant building we got this morning shot, against the sun,
to add drama to the final image.
The rocky horizon reflex the desert area were this city was built.

In the afternoon sun, the final glow of the day upon the Temple.

Getting into Zion, we found this rusted Ford 1945 station wagon, sitting there...
Like waiting for the weather to consume it totally.

I like jumping over the cliffs, when I am happy !!!
Yahhhhooooooooo !!!!

I credit this image to Antonio Neyra who took this photograph of me, while I was getting the final sun rays upon Bryce's hoodoos.

"Final rays" - A backlighted group of hoodoos in Bryce Canyon Nat'l Park. Is like they have flames inside. Looks like they are burning.

Well, I hope you comment in the images.
Take Care you all.
Sincerely,
AL.

Zion Nat'l Park - Part II

When I did the see the complete pool of photos I HAD to make a "cold selection" and not choose many of my images, though I liked them.

The photographs that I am presenting here today are some of the ones I'm planning to present in my exhibit in New Jersey in a digital display.

Beside I am going to present my new book as well... yeap, the one I am doing since early July and I'm still in the second half of it (I hope there is enough time to finish everything up by March 2010... do you think?).

In the mean time, enjoy the photographs and tell me what do you think about them.

Thanks again for taking the time and looking to my photographs... as a matter of fact is a real honor for me to know that all of you had been reviewing my work, which tells me that you care for what I do. Thanks again.

Sincerely,

AL.

Zion Nat'l Park - Part I

In a fast trip I went and came back to and from Zion National Park in Utah... and let me tell you, it was amazing!!. As always Zion N.P. is a breath taking experience and I enjoy being there in the solitude of some of the areas. This time of the year present additional benefits, which some of them are: the falling changing-colors leaves, the few amount of people walking around (which is great for the composition of the photographs) and the cooler weather, that allows you to walk further without sweating as much.

I had a marvelous experience walking in the park, and as you will see in the photographs below what I've done, those are not even the 100th part of what I've taken and done.
Enjoy these eight photographs and comment on those ones.

I am preparing the better ones (which I have not posted yet, but later) for an exhibit in New Jersey in the beginning of next year's March. I need to have the experience and I feel is going to be good... really good!.

Well, you all take care and have fun... (anything to do, you must enjoy it).

Feel free to comment and give me your impressions.
More images will come as soon as they are available.

AL.
